The Design

There are a number of boot designs each intended for different uses. The two main categories of hunting boots are rubber boots and field boots.

Rubber boots are good for sloppy conditions like swamps and marshes. They are completely waterproof and will keep you dry over the course of your trip.

Field boots are normally made from either natural leather or synthetic materials such as polyester and nylon.

There is nothing more uncomfortable than wearing a pair of boots that are either too snug around your feet or too loose that the sides constantly rub around your fit.

The fit should therefore be snug, not so tight as to cut off circulation but not so loose that your feet slide forward when you move.
